Welcome to Sunset Bay Meadows! We have several tent/RV sites, a yurt, and one group camping site.
Once a dairy farm and part of the old Simpson estate our property offers mushroom picking seasonally whey you may find Chanterelle & Hedgehog mushrooms.
We're close to the beach and the Sunset Bay Golf Course is on the same property.
Lots of hiking trails and you can connect with Sunset Bay State Park our neighbor.
We have a private, secluded campground that is wind sheltered with approximately 20 acres of space in which to use our covered table, picnic tables, fire pit, fire rings at individual campsites, BBQ, sauna and outdoor propane-fired shower.
The camp area is tucked away among large spruce trees and open meadows which lead to endless trails on the property, with the option to buy a round of golf at Sunset Bay Golf Course, which is right next door to the camp area.
We’re just short of a mile from Sunset Bay, where you will find kayaking, fishing and a great spot for kids.
The Whiskey Run mountain bike trails are a short drive away and are truly world-class trails. The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago.
Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood.
BBQ some oysters on the grill or pick up some fresh fish and enjoy the bounty of the coast.
Charleston, just 3.5 miles away, also has some great restaurants and local shops to truly make your stay memorable.

Fennel Flats - At The Orchard Hole

Grassy mowed area along the Sixes River on our cattle ranch and cranberry farm. We provide an outdoor shower. (Currently still working on the composting toilet so need to have your own toilet for now). The shower water is filtered water from a shallow well, but bring water to drink. This campsite lies about 1 mile from the pacific ocean at about 15 feet elevation so it will be cooler than inland camp sites.
I believe we are the closest camping to the south side of the Blacklock Hiking Trails. Also next to the Cape Blanco State Airport. (call if you want to fly in and get transport to and from the campsite).
Access Road is a single lane in and out (gravel, dirt, and grass). Any towed trailers need to be pulled by a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle to climb back out (in and out procedures for trailers will be provided)
Bring a fishing pole or a kayak. Sea-run trout are in the river during the summer.
Only friendly and quiet pets are allowed.

2 miles down a gravel road from Hwy 42 you will find yourself able to drive a 40' skoolie or rv down to this location. We now have a composting toilet and Shower! Easy access to back in or pull in and be 20' from the river. This site does have 110 outlets and water access from river with pump, small fire pit and camp chairs, I am working on a picnic table, coming soon. The river has some big fish and a little bit of a sandy beach area depending on the tide. Shade trees or sun you have both and summers are very nice out here. No bears or cougars in the area, usually a racoon or possum or fox. Over all very quiet and peaceful. Gets warm down by the river out of the wind so come prepared.
Currently have a small cabin in the works but is not finished, this is on site and can be used if needed.

Come stay on a portion of our 100 acres. Rent our 45 ft toy hauler RV or just an RV space. Two RV spots are situated together on a large private portion of land where you will be surrounded by cattle and horses. Creek runs along lower land. You are welcome to explore but please don't climb fences and make sure to keep gates closed. Verizon service can be weak sometimes. This is for those who want to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet in solitude. RV stocked with movies a couple puzzles and some games. Ask about farm fresh eggs. If the girls are laying, we would be more than happy to share. Small BBQ available.
Bring your own corn hole boards, volley ball net, bikes and river toys. We have two livestock pens set up if traveling with horses. Water available. Bring your own hay.
We have shared access to a private swimming hole on the Umpqua River(not on this property) less then 5 minutes away. Our land is near VA and Mercy Hospitals, Umpqua Community College, Umpqua fish ladder. Less then10 mins from down town Roseburg and DC fairgrounds. Learn more about this land:Elk Island We have a 22.6 acre island with 10 acre feet of water rights from the river that we are just clearing and creating the final design so come and be a part of making the future come to life by implementing things we found from the past.Thomas Owens Ferry site is about 6 acres under the bridges that was the site of the 1850s Deer Creek Settlement ferry operated by Thomas Owens family which has about 6 acres inclusive of half the overflow channel and it connects to about 10 acres of inner city lake on the South Umpqua River. We recommend getting to the island early enough in the day to look around and pick the best area. The whole island is open to Hipcamp for campers to pick the area that suits them. The porta pots are in the northwest corner of the high portion of the island. Bring a fishing pole or book and enjoy the roughness of the island inside the center of Roseburg.

Please note, due to construction of the Scottsburg Bridge, there’s construction noise on weekdays. Due to the the adjacent highway there is traffic noise.
$85/nite per RV (there are 2 spaces); 6 people per RV max. Fire bans begin during seasonal dry times, typically beginning end of June through November.

This property is about 1 mile from downtown Port Orford, and close to beautiful rivers, amazing hiking, surfing, beach-combing and the art/music scene in town. There is one area available for tent camping which could fit up to 6 people and 3 tents total. (You/your group will be the only ones Hipcamping in the area.)
You'll have the following: a picnic table, porta-potty, an extension cord for electricity, solar 5 gallon outdoor shower, and very delicious well water (from the hose) for cleaning/drinking.
The tent camping area is tucked away in a private section of the property between the back of the main house and a stand of trees. You'll have privacy but it is close to the back of the main house.
Quiet, well-behaved dogs are allowed if they are kept on a leash and cleaned up after. There are two dogs, two cats, and children who live on this property so we want everyone to be safe.
There is wifi that usually works well.
We are LGBTQ and BIPOC friendly!
